Albemarle County Man Facing Rape Charges

An Albemarle County man is in custody Wednesday, facing rape charges. Police say 51-year-old Cecil Allen White has been charged with five counts of rape and one count of object sexual penetration.

Sergeant Byers with the Albemarle County Police Department says the incident was reported to them in 2011. Police say White knew his victim but will not say if the victim is an adult or juvenile.

White was charged through direct indictments from the Albemarle County Circuit Court grand jury on August 6 and was arrested on August 13.

He is being held at the Albemarle Charlottesville Regional Jail.
