The UVA football team will have its first scrimmage Wednesday.
Head coach Mike London said he's looking to see his quarterbacks perform in simulated game situations without any coaching on the field.
The team had its first fall camp workout on their normal practice field next to the McCue Center Tuesday.
Virginia's brand new indoor practice facility is being built right next door.
The construction is ahead of schedule, which allowed the 'Hoos to move practice from The Park back to the turf field they've always used for practices.
"You're going to be able to punt inside that thing," said London. "You're going to be able to have your kicking game. It's a full, 100-plus yards in there, state-of-the-art message boards and video filming opportunities. It's one of those things, you want to have things like that for kids to see and say, 'you know what, I could see myself there.' It'll be a great addition for us, and we're excited about when we can finally get in it and use it."
