An Augusta County woman who was one of the first people convicted under new federal bath salts laws is on her way to prison.
Holly Renae Sprouse, 26, was sentenced Tuesday to one year and eight months behind bars. The Craigsville woman had already pleaded guilty in federal court to a conspiracy charge.
Sprouse was arrested last fall after Augusta deputies reported finding an illegal form of the synthetic drugs in her car. Her co-defendant, Michael Wright, goes to trial in October.
