Update:
The Augusta County Sheriff's Office reports that 27-year-old Kari Renee Smith and her two children were located in Texarkana, Arkansas. They were reportedly staying 24-year-old Joshua Messer's mother's house.
Authorities say Messer, who is wanted on a probation violation will be extradited.
Sheriff's deputies in Augusta County are asking for help to find a missing family. Investigators say 27-year-old Kari Renee Smith and her two children were reported missing.
They think the family is with another missing person, 24-year-old Joshua Messer. He is also wanted on a probation violation.
The two children, 5-year-old Dakota Schroeder and his 3-year-old sister Abigail, are believed to be with them.
Deputies say the family was last seen Friday around 8:30 p.m., carrying a television to the car. Smith's cellphone shows no calls since Friday. Her mailbox is full, and there is no way to track the phone. Neither Smith or Messer have credit or debit cards to track.
The children's father and grandmother reported them missing. Deputies say the father and grandmother believe the children could be in danger.
The group is believed to be traveling in a 2002 black four door Saturn with Virginia license plate number XRP6228. Investigators are asking anyone with information to call the Augusta County Sheriff's Office at 540-245-5333.
