Tickets for Dalai Lama Event at Paramount Theater Sell Out

Tickets to see the Dalai Lama at one of two events in Charlottesville sold out in three minutes Monday morning.

His holiness is set to speak at two events October 11.  His first event that day is at the Paramount Theater at 10 a.m.  Those tickets went on sale Monday, and prices ranged from $25 to $200.

The Dalai Lama will take part in a panel discussion about compassionate medical care in the 21st century.

Linda Goldstein, who was first in line Monday for tickets to see the Dalai Lama, said, "I believe strongly in what he stands for and I try to practice what he preaches."

The other event on October 11 will be at the nTelos Wireless Pavilion.  Those tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. this Friday, August 17.
