Staunton Police Department Press Release
The Staunton Police Department is asking the public's assistance in a suspicious death investigation.
On August 9 at approximately 4:00 p.m., Staunton police responded to 113 Skyline Avenue for a welfare check. Responding officers located a deceased male in the residence.
The victim's body was sent to the Medical Examiner in Roanoke. Preliminary indication of cause of death is a gunshot wound. No weapon was recovered at the scene.
