A Charlottesville man accused of abducting and strangling a woman will stay behind bars for now. James Moore, 30, is being held without bond until his next court hearing.
Albemarle County police say he assaulted a woman early Wednesday morning. She reportedly escaped from his vehicle twice, but police say Moore caught her both times and assaulted her again. The third time she escaped, she managed to reach a house and call 911.
Moore is due back in court for a preliminary hearing September 10 at 10:30 a.m..
