Virginia State Police are investigating a fatal accident in Fluvanna County. The accident happened along Rolling Road South just north of Route 761 near Cunningham at around 2:15 Wednesday morning.
Virginia State Police say a 28-year-old Brian P. Keefe of Fluvanna was driving south when he lost control and flipped his car. He was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the car. Keefe died at the scene.
Police believe alcohol and speed were factors in this accident. The accident is still under investigation.

Virginia State Police Trooper J.R. Ruhlman responded to a single-vehicle crash in Fluvanna County early Wednesday morning (August 8, 2012). The crash occurred at 2:30 a.m. on Route 620 less than a mile north of Route 701.
A 1997 Acura Integra was heading south on Route 620 when it ran off the left side of the road and struck a tree. The driver, Brian P. Keefe, 28, of Fluvanna, was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the car. Keefe died at the scene.
Alcohol and speed were both factors in the crash, which remains under investigation at this time.
