A University of Virginia student admits he is guilty of child porn charges. Ralph Samuel Rogers pleaded guilty Wednesday to 10 counts of possessing child pornography.
Rogers was supposed to have a trial Wednesday morning, but that did not happen. Instead of the trial, Rogers entered into a guilty plea at Albemarle County Circuit Court.
Investigators searched his Lambeth Field dorm back in December and seized a computer and other electronic devices. Rogers was arrested at his dorm at UVA.
He is a rising third-year engineering student.
Rogers will be officially sentenced on January 8. He faces up to 50 years in prison.
