A 17-year-old driver now faces two charges after a deadly crash last month in Nelson County.
On July 22, Virginia State Police say the driver ran a stop sign along Route 151 at the intersection with Tanbark Drive. The car smashed into a motorcycle carrying a couple from Rhode Island.
Rina I. Beaulieu was pronounced dead on the scene. Her husband, Alphonse R. Beaulieu, died several days later at the University of Virginia Medical Center from his injuries.
The Nelson County commonwealth's attorney says the driver of the car faces two charges, reckless driving and failing to obey a highway sign.
