Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony Held for New Fluvanna County High School

Hundreds of people were in Fluvanna County Sunday to officially welcome its new high school to the community.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at the school Sunday afternoon.  This comes a day before teachers will walk into their new space for the 2012-2013 school year.

Superintendent Gena Keller says she is proud of all of the hard work that went into making this day possible.  "Lots of family, lots of children, just very excited to see this come to a closure in terms of moving forward, but really bigger than that it's just a new beginning," she said.

Only teachers head back to work Monday.  Students will go back next Monday, August 13.
