Barry Wayne Booth, 22Charlottesville police say they have made three arrests in connection to the assault at the University of Virginia corner last week. Three people now face charges of malicious wounding, assault by mob and vandalism.
The men charged are all from Charlottesville:
- Chris Cockrell, 23
- Ryan Collins, 23
- Barry Wayne Booth, 22
They each face two counts each of malicious wounding, three counts each of assault by mob, and one count each of vandalism.
All three are being held without bond at the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail.
The arrests come after police say the group ganged up on three guys along West Main Street at the UVA corner early last Friday morning.
Police say three victims - two of them UVA students - were getting into their vehicle when they were attacked. Two of the victims were treated at UVA Medical Center.
