Charlottesville Police Arrest Suspect in Ridge Street Robbery

An Albemarle County man is in jail Thursday night, after police say he robbed a man on the streets of Charlottesville.

Robert L. Bowles, 39, is being held at Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail without bond. Charlottesville police picked him up outside the Shell gas station along Preston Avenue.

Police say Bowles robbed a 47-year-old man along the 200 block of Ridge Street around 1 p.m. Thursday. The victim was not hurt.
