A man police say is
responsible for a robbery and brutal beating in Charlottesville will have to
wait a few months longer to find out his fate.
Steven Bednarski is
charged with robbery and several gun charges, after police say he
pistol-whipped his victim and robbed him at the Days Inn on Emmet Street. According to police, it happened along a hallway
in the hotel on July 24 of last year, after a female accomplice lured the
victim from a restaurant back to her hotel room.
Bednarski's trial was
supposed to begin Wednesday, but it was postponed because he was recently
assigned a new lawyer. A new trial date
is set for February 27.
