New Tool Keeps You Informed about New Projects in C'ville and Albemarle
There's a new tool for you to keep up with all of the projects and plans Charlottesville and Albemarle have for the future. The Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission along with the Livable Communities Project created a database that brings together information from community plans.
Monday they held a "Lunch and Learn" session to teach people how to use the new tool called the Local Plans Database. It contains over 1,200 goals, strategies, and action items from planning documents.
Mandy Burbage, a planner with the Livable Communities Planning Project explained the tool is available so that "if someone is interested in learning about affordable housing and the goals in the community related to affordable housing, they now have a tool where they can sort through 82 plans to find out what those plans say about a topic."
They will continue to have more tutorials about it in the coming weeks and months.
