The family of former Virginia Quarterly Review Managing Editor Kevin Morrisey has filed a $10 million lawsuit against the University of Virginia.
The suit was filed last Wednesday in the Henrico County Circuit Court, and names five defendants, including former UVA President John Casteen, and one-time VQR editor Theodore Genoways.
The family is seeking damages for emotional distress inflicted by Genoways and gross neglect on the part of UVA and named employees.
Morrisey took his own life in July 2010.
