Waynesboro scored three runs in the top of the 9th inning, as they rallied to beat New Market 6-5 in the first round of the Valley Baseball League Playoffs.

The win gives the Generals a sweep of the best of three first round series.

Brandon Glazer hit a 2-out bases-clearing double in the 9th to deliver the win for Waynesboro.

The Generals will play Harrisonburg in the next round, as the Turks won 5-3 on the road at Rockbridge.  

The teams begin the Division Finals Sunday at 7pm at Mathers Park in Waynesboro.
