On Saturday, Democrats in Charlottesville and Albemarle County participated in the Obama campaign's National Weekend of Action.
Marking 100 days until the election on November 6, volunteers across the country are registering voters and canvassing neighborhoods as part of Saturday's launch of the campaign's newest initiative, It Takes One.
Obama supporters focused on the Walker and Clark precincts, the downtown mall, and parts of Albemarle County.
Jim Nix, with the Charlottesville Democrats said, "The best way to reach voters and convince them of the value of voting for President Obama is to talk to them face to face."
Charlottesville Democrats says the pool of volunteers is growing every week, with many joining shortly after first lady Michelle Obama was supposed to visit the city.
