People in Charlottesville packed area sports bars Friday night as the London Olympics kicked off on NBC29.
Every TV in the house at Boylan Heights on the corner was turned to NBC for Friday's opening ceremonies. The reaction at Boylan was a little mixed.
"It's too loud to hear what's happening, so we're creating our own captions as we go through," Hunter Poarch said.
Meanwhile, others were just happy to see Team USA well represented.
"We have some teammates actually representing USA right now in the Olympics, so we're hoping to see them on TV tonight," said University of Virginia swimmer Erica Stewart.
People at the bar were all decked out in their red white and blue. The London Olympics continues through August 12 on NBC29.
