Dairy Queen hopes to scoop up enough donations to help children in medical need. Thursday is Miracle Treat Day and Dairy Queens across the country will donate $1 or more from every Blizzard sold to the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
Miss Chesterfield and Miss Greater Richmond stopped by the Seminole Trail location to help spread the word.
"It's a great opportunity to get involved and raise money for the Children's Miracle Network which doesn't deny a child proper health care because of their inability to pay," said Miss Chesterfield Delesia Watson. "That's something I can really relate to because my brother was a Children's Miracle Network baby and if it weren't for them he probably wouldn't be alive today."
Canada locations are also participating in the event. Last year, Dairy Queen raised more than $5 million on Miracle Treat Day.
