Staunton's community garden is bringing people together not only to grow vegetables, but also to enjoy them together.
Volunteers at the community garden in Staunton had the second of four barbeques they're throwing this summer. The garden is located right off Stafford Street and is home to a variety of vegetables for all to enjoy.
Organizers say this is just another way for the community to come together for fellowship.
Rhonda Howdyshell with Habitat for Humanity said, "We just get out the grill and cook things up. Hopefully something fresh from the garden when we're cooking something up, and then we share that."
The next barbeque is Wednesday, August 22 at 4:00. Volunteers say anyone is welcome to help work in the garden on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
