Signs point to progress redeveloping the old Martha Jefferson Hospital in downtown Charlottesville. Space for lease notices are up on the property.
Virginia Real Estate Partners is marketing 118,000 square feet in the Cardwell and Rucker buildings. The listing agent says he's seeing strong interest from businesses looking for office space in Cardwell. Plans call for 40 to 50 apartments in the Rucker building.
Tenants should be able to move in by next June.
The CFA Institute says it's moving forward with plans to renovate another section of the former hospital and move from Albemarle County in the fall of 2013.
