Woman Taken to Hospital After Crashing into Building on Pantops

Emergency crews took a woman to the hospital after an accident on Pantops Mountain.

Albemarle County police say she hit the accelerator of her orange Ford Focus instead of the brake and ran into the front of a building.

It happened about 10:00 Tuesday morning at the Hansen Road Professional Center.  The front door to the center is damaged, but the building is still open.

The driver has minor injuries and is charged with reckless driving.
