American Legion District Tournament Scores & Highlights

The Albemarle Post 74 American Legion baseball team beat Staunton Post 13 10-0 Sunday night in the District 13 Tournament in Crozet.

Austin Turner allowed just three hits for Post 74, while Ryan Morris went 3-for-5 with 2 RBI.

Albemarle will play in the winners bracket game Monday at 7pm at Spotsylvania, while Staunton plays at elimination game Tuesday at 5pm.

The Post 74 Under-17 team beat Fredericksburg Post 55 15-9 in the district championship game.

Trey Lamb was the winning pitcher for Albemarle.

With the win, Post 74 (23-10-1) moves on to the American Legion state tournament August 1st in Glen Allen.
