Motorcycle involved in Afton crash.Virginia State Police are investigating a fatal crash involving a Dodge Neon and motorcycle in Nelson County.
Crews responded to Route 151 near the Afton Service Center just before 4:00 on Sunday afternoon.
Police say a female riding on the motorcycle was pronounced dead on scene.
A man who was also on the motorcycle was airlifted to the University of Virginia Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
According to officials on the scene, there were five people in the Dodge Neon. Four people from that car were transported to the hospital. All suffered injuries that were not life-threatening.
A crash reconstruction team is investigating the cause of the crash.
