Three former Virginia basketball players were in action in the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas Thursday night.
2012 graduate Mike Scott scored a team-high 14 points and grabbed seven rebounds in the Hawks 84-78 loss against the Trailblazers.
The 2nd round draft pick led Atlanta in rebounding in their five summer league games, and was 3rd on the team in scoring.
2011 grad Mustapha Farrakhan scored 12 points and dished out 2 assists in 20 minutes of action for the Knicks against the Raptors.
Sylven Landesberg is also playing for New York the summer, and he scored 10 points in 11:42 minutes of game time.
Landesberg left UVA during his sophomore season in 2010.
The former ACC freshman of the year played for the Sacramento Kings summer league team that year, before joining the Maccabi Haifa of the Israeli Basketball Super League.
He signed a three-year contract with Maccabi Tel Aviv on July 4th, after averaging
20.7 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 2.7 assists last season.
