Monday, the Charlottesville Area Association of Realtors (CAAR) released its 2012 mid-year market report.
Here are some of the highlights:
- Second quarter home sales in greater Charlottesville are up 8.6 percent over last year at the same time.
- The city of Charlottesville has the highest increase in second quarter sales, up almost 30 percent from 2011.
- Nelson and Greene counties experienced declines.
Overall, there were 733 homes sold in the central Virginia region in the second quarter. The area includes Fluvanna, Louisa, Nelson and Greene counties.
