Waynesboro Sweeps Staunton In Doubleheader

Waynesboro improved to 6-0 against Staunton on the season, as the Generals swept the Braves in a doubleheader Friday at Mathers Park.

Waynesboro won the first game 6-3, and scored two runs in the bottom of the 7th to win the second 5-4.

Four of the six games the teams have played this year have been decided by just one run.

The Generals move past Harrisonburg and into first place in the VBL South Division with the win.

Former Orange County star Derek Justice pitched five inning for the Braves in Game Two, allowing three runs on 9 hits while striking out four.

The teams meet again Saturday night at 7:30 PM in Staunton.

Harrisonburg beat Winchester 4-1.
