Culpeper Police Seek Help Identifying Stolen Credit Card Suspect

Posted: Updated:

Culpeper police are seeking the public's help identifying a woman who allegedly used a stolen credit card for a purchase at Rite Aid on June 18.

"We gave no idea who the woman in the surveillance video might be," said Detective Sgt. Jeff Dodson. "We need the public's help to solve this crime."

The woman described as a white female, with either dark blonde or light brown hair stands approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs between 110 to 115 pounds.

The woman, believed to be in her 20s, allegedly used a credit card stolen in Spotsylvania County sometime before June 18. The victim, who lives in Midlothian, Va., reported the theft of a wallet to Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office. The wallet, which contained the credit card, was inadvertently left in a restroom at the Anna Pointe Marina possibly on June 17, said Dodson.

The unidentified woman in the store surveillance photos allegedly used the credit card at Rite Aid on Madison Road in Culpeper to purchase a pre-paid Visa card.
