Charlottesville's Restaurant Week is coming up on Monday and the food you buy for yourself will help others eat well too. A dollar from each Restaurant Week meal will go to the PB&J Fund, a nonprofit that promotes healthy meals for kids.
We met up with PB&J while they were in the kitchen cooking up something with several young chefs. They say Restaurant Week will be a good partner for their program.
Emily Wampler of the PB&J Fund said, "It's a really, really great connection in my opinion. Working with kids that are having this interest in cooking and then having restaurants support us. It makes a lot of sense and it's a lot of fun."
The money the PB&J Fund gets from Restaurant Week will go towards their "holiday giving" program, which sends holiday gift baskets home with students in Charlottesville city schools.
