A central Virginia youth football and cheerleading league is filling up quickly, and coaches want to make sure your kids have the chance to sign up before they miss out on the fall sports season.
The Central Virginia Pop Warner Football Conference is a nonprofit whose mission is to enable young people to benefit from participation in team sports and activities in a safe and structured environment.
Teams are named after NFL teams - like the Buckingham Panthers and the Greene County Jets. Cheerleaders and football players can apply for financial aid, but time is running out.
Tony Payne, a coach with the Central Virginia Pop Warner Association, said, "I wouldn't wait until the last moment to get registered. I would do it right now, as early as possible, that way we can secure a spot for your child."
The league is open to all kids across central Virginia between the ages of 8 and 12. Click here to learn more about how to register and apply for financial aid.
