Another Independence Day tradition rang out across Charlottesville Wednesday afternoon.
About 50 people braved the afternoon heat for the annual ringing of Charlottesville's Liberty Bell replica. It's the only authentic replica in the state of Virginia.
Eagle Scouts from the Stonewall Jackson Area Council took turns reading the names of the signers of the Declaration of Independence, and ringing the bell.
5th District Representative Robert Hurt even got in on the action. Congress passed a resolution in 1963 ruling all replicas across the country ring at 2:00 in the afternoon every July Fourth.
