Charlottesville and Albemarle registrar's are hoping to set the record straight on the new voting laws Monday night.
The city and county will host a town hall meeting with the Charlottesville chapter of the NAACP. There has been growing concern that the new voter I.D. law requires a photo, but that is not the case in Virginia.
Albemarle County Registrar Jake Washburn said, "Taking questions and trying to answer any puzzlements that anybody may have so we hope that will be the first of many public meetings to get everybody straight on the new law."
The meeting starts at 7:00 Monday night at Burley Middle School.
