The NBC29 newsroom received the following release from the Augusta County Service Authority.
Public Notice for Water Conservation
until 8:00AM Saturday, June 30, 2012
Due to the extreme weather and
power outages, the Augusta County Service Authority is requesting all customers
to conserve as much water as they can until 8:00 AM Saturday morning. Our crews are unable to get to all of our
facilities until roads are cleared of debris sufficient to allow them to
proceed safely and to get generators operating.
We need to maintain as much water in our tanks as possible until pumps
can be brought back to full capacity, in the event of a fire or other emergency
need.
