Gifted musicians from across the globe will call Staunton home for the next six weeks. It's the debut year for the Heifetz International Music Festival at Mary Baldwin College.
With their violins, violas and cellos in hand, 62 musicians moved in Thursday to study with the best in the world. After 16 years, the institute has found a permanent home at Mary Baldwin College.
Founder and director Daniel Heifetz said, "I was totally overwhelmed with the beauty of the town, the incredible facility of the college, and most importantly the vision and the brilliance of the president of Mary Baldwin College, Dr. Pamela Fox."
