Waynesboro led 2-1 going into the ninth inning, but visiting Front Royal tied the game with a run in the top of the ninth, and then added a run in the top of the eleventh to beat the Generals 3-2 in extra innings Tuesday night at Kate Collins Field.
Eric Stout, a lefty from Butler, allowed one run on four hits with seven strikeouts in six innings of work for Waynesboro, but he got a no-decision.
Brad Noland went 3-for-5 in the loss. Brandon Murray was 2-for-5 with an RBI for the Generals.
Waynesboro (14-7) next plays at Staunton Wednesday night at 7:30.
The Braves lost at Winchester 11-4 Tuesday night.
Former Fort Defiance High School star Blake Sipe had two hits in the loss.
Staunton drops to 9-11 this season.
Harrisonburg beat visiting Luray 6-4 Tuesday night. The Turks (15-7) have won six of their last seven games to take over first place in the VBL South standings by one game in the win column over Waynesboro.
Harrisonburg scored five runs in the seventh inning on a three-run home run from Jake Roberts and a two-run triple from Ryan Lee.
Roberts and Lee both went 2-for-3 with three RBI in the win.
The Turks next play at Covington Wednesday night.
