Augusta Supervisors to Consider Village Mixed-Use District

Augusta County is eyeing a special zoning class that targets historic villages.

Mount Sidney, Greenville, Middlebrook and New Hope are among the communities that might qualify for a village mixed-use district.

They are areas where homes and small businesses sprung up side by side, and where property owners want to protect that unique character.

Wednesday night, Augusta County supervisors will host a public hearing on the proposed change.
