The case against a former 5th District congressional candidate charged with felony election fraud is moving forward. A Fluvanna County grand jury indicted Feda Morton on Monday.
Morton is accused of making false statements on a voter registration form in August 2011. She was indicted on a class five felony charge, meaning the jury or court may choose imprisonment for one to 10 years or jail for up to 12 months and/or a fine of up to $2,500.
An arraignment is set for August 31.
