Crozet is getting ready for its Fourth of July celebrations. The second Crozet Volunteer Fire Department Parade will run through downtown and end in Claudius Park next Saturday.
Live music, rides, and of course fireworks will round out festivities. This year, some of the proceeds will go to form the Crozet Historic District.
Tim Tolson with the Crozet Community Association said, "What we need to do is to raise about $4,500 for the application to the state and federal to be a historic district, [the] Crozet Historic District."
The crowd will be able to make donations during the celebration to help pay for the fireworks and event expenses.
