Charlottesville Sheriff's Office Offers RAD Program

The Charlottesville Sheriff's Office is teaching women how to fight off attackers.  The office is hosting a two-day self-defense training program at the Slaughter Recreation Center.     

Rape Aggression Defense - also called "RAD" - provides techniques to help women protect themselves from various types of assaults.

Saturday's class introduced them to basic defense stances.  On Sunday they'll learn more advanced techniques.
