A Gordonsville man accused of hitting a police officer with his pickup truck has been indicted for attempted capital murder by a grand jury.
Police say 44-year-old Harold Morris was driving drunk in March, when he hit a vehicle twice at the intersection of Long Street and High Street, then hit an Albemarle County police officer.
Morris is also charged with two counts of felony hit and run with property damage, one count of felony hit and run with personal injury and one count of eluding police and DUI.
