Judge Upholds Sentence for Staunton Man Convicted of Armed Robbery

Staunton Jury Find Sanchez Guilty of Armed Robbery

A Staunton man will serve 15 years behind bars for robbing a pizza delivery driver.

Wednesday, a judge upheld the jury's recommended sentence for 29-year-old Carl Montgomery Sanchez. He and another man were convicted for the armed robbery of a Domino's employee in April of last year.

The victim testified Sanchez pressed something into his back, and said, "I'll blow your head off." The crime netted only a pair of pizzas and $7 in cash.
