Albemarle Post 74 Pulls Away from King George

The Albemarle Post 74 American Legion baseball team beat King George Post 89 10-3 in Crozet Tuesday night.

Albemarle's Jack Maynard struck out seven batters on the mound for Post 74.

Albemarle put up two runs in the third inning to take a 2-0 lead.

Leading 2-1 in the fifth inning, Post 74 re-took a two-run lead on a Spencer Breeden RBI single, which scored William Monroe High School teammate Ryan Morris from second.

Albemarle rolled from there.
