Traffic Alert: State Police to Escort Super Load on I-81, I-64

For drivers in central Virginia Tuesday, expect some possible delays from I-81 in Harrisonburg all the way to I-64 in Fluvanna County.

State police and the Virginia Department of Transportation are escorting what's called a "super load" from West Virginia to exit 136 near Palmyra.  The compressor and the truck are 14-feet tall, 16-feet wide and 245 feet long.  The  truck has 22-axles and weighs 430,000 pounds.

The mobile lane closure begins about 1:30 p.m. in Harrisonburg.
