Fontaine Water Line Work to Spur Traffic & Parking Changes - NBC29 WVIR Charlottesville, VA News, Sports and Weather

A project to replace a water line in Charlottesville will detour traffic and close off parking for the next few weeks.

The city is replacing the pipe along Fontaine Avenue to improve the water supply around the fire station that's under construction.

Public works crews say they plan to start work on the line Monday night.  This part of the three-phase project should last about eight weeks.
