Patriots Soccer Celebrates Title

Albemarle high school held a celebration Friday night to honor its state champion boys soccer team.

The Patriots won the first state title in school history last weekend, as AHS beat district rival Colonial Forge 3-0.

Senior forward Alex Bohn says, "I hope for future teams to try to follow our example from what we've done, and to inspire them, that they can also achieve this sort of goal."

"It's incredible," adds senior midfielder Shane Rose.  "We've been working for this for so long, so it's great to finally get one.  It's the greatest feeling there is, and it's nice to go out on top too."
