UVA Recruit Playing In NBPA Top 100 Camp

Posted: Updated:

The top high school basketball players in the country remained on the court at John Paul Jones Arena Friday, as play continued in the NBPA Top 100 basketball camp.

The nation's top-recruit was not in action Friday, as Chicago-native Jabari Parker suffered a minor injury to his hand in the games Thursday night.

But there are still players like 7-foot-5 Mamadou Ndiaye, from California by way of Senegal, who makes 6-foot-9 defenders look small.

Wayne Selden is a 6-foot-4 guard from New Hampshire.

The rising senior has an offer from Virginia, as well as school's like Kansas, Kentucky, UConn, and Syracuse.

Selden is the 20th-ranked player in the Class of 2013, and has been impressed by the Cavaliers campus.

"It has nice facilities," says Selden.  "Every gym looks like a top-notch gym.  It's always nice when you get a nice facility with good players.  It's a good camp, with good coaches, good faculty, good staff, so it's always just good.  I talked with Coach during the season.  He came to a few of my games.  They were showing interest, and they offered me."

Selden recently re-classified from a junior to a senior, so he'll be eligible to sign with the Class of 2013.
