Dave Matthews Band Bama Works Fund in CACF Provides $366,400 in Grants to 61 Local Non profits
Today the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation announces $366,400 in grants to 61 local nonprofits through the Bama Works Fund of Dave Matthews Band in CACF. This Fund supports charitable programs in the Charlottesville area with particular focus on disadvantaged youth, needs of the disabled, protection of the environment, and the arts and humanities.
John Redick, President of the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation comments:
"The Dave Matthews Band continues their generosity to the people of this community. Through the Bama Works Fund in CACF, established in 1998, the Band has touched and improved the lives of many in our local area. Twice a year, the Bama Works Fund in CACF awards gifts through a competitive grant cycle. Applicants seeking a grant for the December decision must apply no later than August 1, 2012.
