Culpeper police placed five additional charges Thursday against the man charged with robbing and pistol-whipping a 44-year-old Culpeper man in his apartment May 19.
Terell Poteat, 25, faces four additional felony charges of armed burglary, abduction, conspiracy to commit robbery, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and a misdemeanor charge of brandishing a firearm.
Poteat was arrested in Albemarle County May 27 and Christina Jenkins, 18, turned surrendered at police headquarters a day later.
Poteat and Jenkins face charges stemming from a robbery and burglary of the man's apartment. The victim was robbed of a significant amount of money that he was saving to help pay for a relative's funeral.
The victim was treated and released at Culpeper Regional Hospital for the injury to his face.
Detective Luke Altman said he doesn't anticipate any additional charges being placed against either person at this time.
