The Supreme Court of Virginia will hear an appeal for a controversial Charlottesville wrongful death lawsuit.
Isaiah Lester won more than $8 million from Allied Concrete, after one of their trucks overturned in 2007 and killed his wife Jessica.
Published reports say Virginia's high court is looking at the matter because there may be problems with how Judge Edward Hogshire lowered the jury's initial reward.
That $4 million reduction came after Hogshire ruled Lester and his attorney Matt Murray either withheld, tampered with, or lied about evidence in the case.
Witnesses in southwestern Virginia say a car has driven into a crowd at a parade. Several people appear to be hurt, but the nature of their injuries wasn't immediately known.Full Story
